She Said, Leave Me Alone

She said, Leave me alone.

I’m reading.

I’m writing.

I’m thinking.

He said, What are you making for dinner?

What are we doing tomorrow?

What are we doing this weekend?

Have you walked the dog?

She said, I don’t know about dinner.

I’ve been trying to figure out this math problem.

I’m doing calculus in my head.

Don’t interrupt me.

He said, Where did you leave my glasses?

Where’s the remote control?

Why are you still working on this? It’s the end of the day.

Look I’m not trying to bother you.

She said, Don’t come in here one more time.

I’m asking nicely leave me alone.

Even the kids know to leave me alone.

I can’t have two thoughts when you keep interrupting.

He said, I’m your husband and I just want some time with you.

I just want to be nice to you.

I just want to have a conversation with you.

I just want to have a glass of wine with you.

She said, I’ll be out in five minutes. Now are you happy?

You like swordfish and asparagus.

We can listen to “The Rite of Spring.”

I’ve got cherry pie.

He said, I like it when you’re smiling and happy.

I like it when we’re together.

I like it when we’re having a good time.

That’s what I like.
